The DWDM Mux Demux is commonly utilized for long-distance transmission, where wavelengths are densely packed within the C-band. With a 100GHz grid (0.8nm), up to 48 wavelengths, and with a 50GHz grid (0.4nm), up to 96 wavelengths can be accommodated. This device is versatile, as it is protocol agnostic, and can support a range of applications, including 10/1G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, FTTx, and CATV.

 

The F-tone 8ch DWDM MUX DEMUX is designed with wavelengths spanning from C21 to C28. This device is completely passive and can be easily plugged into a 1U rack mount. Its insertion loss is 2.4dB. When connected with DWDM amplifiers and DCM equipment, the 8ch DWDM transmission system can support long-distance transmission.
