Mellanox MCP1600-C005 compatible 100G QSFP28 DAC is comprised of a Twinax copper cable terminated with QSFP28 form factor modules on both ends. It is verified to interoperate with a wide range of original Mellanox (NVIDIA) platforms, including the NVIDIA Spectrum Ethernet switches (SN5400, SN4600C, SN3700C, SN3420, SN2201, SN2010, SN2100) and ConnectX-6 Dx 100G/200G Ethernet NIC adpter cards. 100G DAC cable has the advantage of convenient installation since the structure of modules is permanently attached to each end.
QSPF28 to QSFP28 100G DAC cable is suitable for very short-distance transmission. It provides a cost-effective and low power consumption way to build a 100Gb link between QSFP28 ports of switches or routers with racks and across adjacent racks.
