NVIDIA/Mellanox MMA4Z00-NS400 Compatible 400GBASE-SR4 OSFP RHS/Flat Top PAM4 Optical Transceiver Module (850nm, 50m, Single-Port MPO-12/APC Connector, MMF, 0℃ to +70℃, DDM)
NVIDIA/Mellanox MMA4Z00-NS400 Compatible 400GBASE-SR4 OSFP is a Flat Top (OSFP-RHS) transceiver module that supports a max data rate of 425 Gbps. It enables the fiber link of 50m over OM4 multi-mode fiber (MMF) with a single 4-channel MPO-12 APC optical connector. Adopting the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) electrical and optical modulation, the Short Reach 4-channel (SR4) OSFP achieves 400 Gigabit Ethernet through 4-channels of 100G-PAM4. F-tone manufactured SR4 OSFP complies with 400G InfiniBand NDR, OSFP MSA 5.0, CMIS 4.0, RoHS 2.0, IEEE 802.3ck, IEEE 802.3-2022. The DDM (digital diagnostics monitoring) function is supported on the 400G fiber optic transceiver to achieve real-time operating parameters monitoring.
This single-port 400G SR4 OSFP supports both InfiniBand NDR (IB) and Ethernet (ETH). While not for use in switches, it is designed for insertion into 400Gb/s ConnectX-7/OSFP-based PCIe-bus network cards to twin-port 800G transceivers in 2x400G IB/EN switches. Its most typical application scenario is: A pair of single-port flat top 400G SR4 OSFP (MMA4Z00-NS400) is independently connected to one of the connectors of the twin-port 800G 2x400G 2SR4 OSFP (MMA4Z00-NS) module in a Quantum-2 InfiniBand or Spectrum-4 Ethernet switch. The MMA4Z00-NS400 400G module can operate in either 400Gb/s or 200Gb/s speed modes, depending on the number of connected fiber optic cables. This allows for corresponding connectivity scenarios of 800G to 2x 400GBASE-SR4 and 4x 200GBASE-SR4 breakout applications, respectively.
