Cisco QSFP-H40G-ACU1M compatible 40G QSFP active copper direct-attach cable (DAC) is comprised of a Twinax copper cable terminated with QSFP form factor modules on both ends. This 40G QSFP+ DAC is verified to interoperate with original Cisco switches, including the Catalyst 3560X/3650/3850/4500/6000/6800/8500/9200/9300/9300X/9300L/9350/9400/9400X/9500/9600/9610/9800 and Nexus 2000/3000/5000/6000/7000/7700/9200/9300/9500/9800 series. This 40G DAC cable has the advantage of convenient installation since the structure of modules is permanently attached to each end.
QSFP+ to QSFP+ 40G DAC cable is suitable for very short-distance transmission. It provides a cost-effective way to build a 40Gb link between QSFP ports of switches or routers with racks and across adjacent racks. F-tone currently offers active QSFP cables in lengths of 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 meters.
