A defining architectural feature of the FT-291-2227316-1 is its Stainless Steel construction. While standard SFP cages often utilize softer copper alloys, stainless steel is explicitly chosen for its exceptional mechanical rigidity and corrosion resistance. This ensures the cage resists structural deformation, port warping, and metal fatigue even when subjected to severe transceiver insertion/extraction torque in high-vibration industrial environments.
