The 2342934-3 is an advanced 1x1 QSFP-DD (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Double Density) Cage Assembly, engineered to provide the critical mechanical, electromagnetic, and thermal infrastructure required for next-generation 400G and 800G networking equipment. Designed to house high-speed optical transceivers and Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cables, this single-port receptacle is an essential physical layer (PHY) component for modern Top-of-Rack (ToR) switches and core routing platforms.

Because QSFP-DD modules can draw up to 15W-25W of power, thermal management is the primary engineering challenge. To address this, the 2342934-3 is equipped with an integrated 13.5mm networking-style zipper heatsink. Unlike standard extruded heatsinks, zipper-fin technology allows for an exceptionally high fin density and increased surface area. This specific "networking" profile is optimized for side-to-side or front-to-back airflow configurations typical in 1RU and 2RU server chassis, ensuring superior thermal dissipation and preventing optical module thermal throttling under heavy data loads.
