The FTBR-2418xx series fiber optic transceivers are designed for use with the FTBR-1414xx (transmitters) and 850nm multimode optical fibers. They provide high-performance and cost-effective fiber optic communication links for fields such as industrial, power generation, medical, transportation, and gaming applications. When the FTBR-1414xx is driven by a 60mA current, it achieves a minimum transmission distance of 2000 meters.
The FTBR-2418xx series is fully compatible with AVAGO's AFBR-2418 series products, supports industry-standard ST fiber optic connectors, and offers an optional threaded configuration. This series is compatible with multimode optical fibers of various core diameters, including 50/125μm, 62.5/125μm, 100/140μm, and 200μm.
The FTBR-2418xx consists of a high-gain transimpedance amplifier (TIA) integrated with a photodiode, featuring CMOS/TTL logic outputs and a built-in Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) function for power monitoring. To enhance the stability of the receiver’s output pulse width, the receiver chip is designed with an automatic pulse width calibration circuit, ensuring pulse width distortion is within ±5ns.
