Product Overview

The FT-VC-DTS-MC Integrated Optical Module is a core optical unit for distributed fiber optic sensing (DTS) systems. It integrates a pulsed laser source, an avalanche photodetector (APD), and Raman WDM multiplexing components into a compact metal housing. The module can be supplied as a standalone unit without the need for a full chassis, delivering synchronous trigger pulses and two channels of Raman scattering analog electrical signals to the output. Customers can build a complete distributed fiber optic temperature measurement system by pairing it with their own high-speed data acquisition cards. The module supports three fiber types: 62.5/125µm, 50/125µm multimode, and 9/125µm single-mode. With a pulse frequency adjustable from 5 to 20 kHz, it supports single-channel monitoring up to 10 km, making it suitable for DTS equipment developers in the power, oil & gas, and tunnel fire protection sectors, as well as university research platforms for temperature sensing.
