The NVIDIA/Mellanox MMS1X00-NS400 Compatible 400GBASE-DR4 QSFP112 transceiver module supports a max data rate of 425Gbps. It enables the fiber link of 500m over SMF with an MPO-12 APC connector. F-tone manufactured 400GBASE-DR4 QSFP112 complies with QSFP112 MSA Rev2.0, IEEE802.3ck standard 400GAUI-4 C2M electrical interface, IEEE 802.3 standard 400GBASE-DR4 optical interface, CMIS Rev5.0, etc. DDM function is supported on the 400G fiber optic transceiver to achieve real-time operating parameters monitoring. Adopting the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) electrical and optical modulation, the Datacenter Reach 4-channel (DR4) QSFP112 achieves 400 Gigabit Ethernet through 4-channels of 100G-PAM4.
This 400G DR4 QSFP112 supports both InfiniBand NDR (IB) and Ethernet (ETH). While not for use in switches, it is designed for insertion into 400Gb/s ConnectX-7/QSFP112-based PCIe-bus network cards or BlueField-3/QSFP112 Data Processing Units (DPUs) to twin-port 800G transceivers in 2x400G IB/EN switches. Its most typical application scenario is: A pair of single-port flat top 400G DR4 QSFP112 (MMS1X00-NS400) is independently connected to one of the connectors of the twin-port 800G 2x400G 2DR4 OSFP (MMS4X00-NS) module in a Quantum-2 InfiniBand or Spectrum-4 Ethernet switch.
