Designed as a high-performance alternative to the NVIDIA MMS4A00, this 1.6T OSFP DR8D optical transceiver delivers an aggregate data rate of 1600 Gb/s using advanced 200G PAM4 modulation across 8 optical lanes. Operating at a 1311nm wavelength, it supports reliable transmission up to 500m over Single Mode Fiber (SMF), making it ideal for intra-data center interconnects and large-scale AI cluster topologies.
The module features a Dual MPO-12 connector interface, enabling a flexible 2x 800G breakout configuration (2xDR4) to seamlessly link high-density switches like the NVIDIA Quantum-X800 to downstream 800G compute or storage nodes. Engineered with an IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader) / Finned Top design, it provides superior thermal dissipation for both air-cooled and liquid-cooled switch environments, ensuring stability under maximum power loads (up to 33.5W).
